![]() | I am currently working on a graphic novel about a spy agency and one of the small gags throughout the book is that the main cast is assorted by color. One of the two main leads is Donald, a character who’s Jewish, and their color scheme is designed around the color Yellow. In the middle of designing him, I got worried that depicting a Jewish character in yellow would be wrong and seen as antisemitic due to the yellow badge and the history behind it. Before even giving the character a solid ethnicity, I chose yellow because it complimented Blue but The last thing I would want to do is hurt the group of people I’m trying to represent. So I’d like your opinion on the situation. Tldr:is depicting a Jewish character in yellow bad. submitted by /u/jaceleak74 |
