Is Astyk a Jewish last name?

Hey, I’m an American who was raised Catholic. However, my mother tells me my great grandfather, who was from Lithuania, might have been Jewish. He left Lithuania during a time of Jewish persecution, between the two world wars, and I know there was a large Jewish population living in Lithuania at the time. His last name was Astyk; anyone here know if this is a Jewish name? It’s a pretty uncommon name from my research, and some variants include Estyk and Astikai. Anyone on here who could give me some information on this last name or the general history of Jews in Lithuania at this time would be greatly appreciated.
