interested in learning more about Judaism

I’m 14 and have always been interested in Jewish history and culture but don’t know much about the actual religion itself. I also want to go to a private Jewish school near me, I live in a poor area and this is one of the best schools close to me (20 min) Im not sure if they will even let me apply or if you need to be Jewish because it’s a very religious school with over 20 Jewish rooted classes. I’d like to know any information about when I could talk to a rabbi as I’m not exactly sure what the office hours at a temple are, thanks :).
