In Torah the Israelites often condemned and complained about their enemies like the Philistines and Assyrians. Were there texts later on that discussed their relation with the Romans?

There was one part where apparently one of their kings actually allied with a Roman and then the Romans were considered their saviours or something. Quite ironic that the friendship would turn sour later on.

Are there similar texts which show Jewish attitudes towards the Roman conquest during that era?
