In recent years, my mother has become convinced we’re “crypto-Jews”, based solely on my grandmother’s maiden name of Hoffman. I’d have no problem with this, if there was any evidence at all. I was raised Baptist, and genetically I’m 300% Northwestern Euro-mutt. Has anyone witnessed similar behavior?
