I’m a little lost at the moment

I have questions for those of you who converted. How were you able to go about it coming from a different religion, how did your family take it. How did you repair your relationship with them?

I’ve been raised roman catholic from a Latino family. I went to school and was taught. Church with the family on Sundays. I did try, when my family stopped going to church, i went alone, and tried. I wanted to be a part of them. But after several years, I still never agreed with most of the teachings. I believe in G-d without a doubt, but believing in Jesus as our lord and savior I couldn’t.

In the past year I’ve been reading into the Torah, the practices of Orthodox Judaism, a friend even had me over for Shabbas several times. I found it to be beautiful, I felt as if I belonged there. Something that I want to be a part of. I want to build a closer relationship with G-d in this way.

I understand that conversion can take a long time, years even. It requires many things of you beyond just following the Noahide Laws. It’s an arduous process. Yet I do not know what to do.

I live at with my parents, I’m in my mid 20’s, going to graduate school. While I do have my own personal money saved up for the required classes. I do not know how to go about this.
