If a convert self harmed, can they be buried in a Jewish cemetery?

As the title says really… this is also in the view that the self harm was a result of mental illness, and prior to conversion.

Also wondering if previous sins are ‘overlooked’ (not sure of the best word there) after conversion formally occurred?
