I want to handwrite a personal copy of the Torah. Allowed to do so?

I’ve wanted to do this for a few years but I finally decided maybe I should. But then I started thinking and my questions are:

1) Am I ‘allowed’ to make one? Would it be offensive/wrong to use standard notebook materials to make a copy of the Torah since its not on parchment and such, and not done by a real scribe? I know its not a REAL production of a Torah but still it is the wording.

2)Would I have to censor anything or make adjustments if i’m making a copy for personal use such as certain wordings or naming?

3)Is it fine to use something like an art-scroll version of the Torah to make the handwritten copy?

4) Anything else I’m not aware of?
