I want to find out more about the religion the n*z*s took from me and my family.

I am technically Jewish. My mothers mothers parents were both German Jews. They lost everything during the Shoah. Only ones in there family to survive because they left Germany in 1936. After the Shoah my family stopped practicing because they said where was our god when we needed him. I can’t blame them for that

For years now I’ve always wanted to learn more and find out more about my families religion. Does anyone have any advice on where to start. I’m gonna head to mh local synagogue and try and speak to the rabbis soon about this
