My mom thought her family was German. Her dad is German. Her mom, mom’s mom, mom’s mom’s mom etc are Russian and Ashkenazi. I found names and documents going back about 5 generations. They were originally from Bessarabia and left shortly after the beginning of the 1900s before coming to Canada.
Does this mean I am technically Jewish?
