"I don’t support the Israeli government but…"

Just something I’ve been noticing any time someone who is Jewish wants to talk about Israel and has an opinion that isn’t “burn Israel to the ground” always needs to qualify it with the fact that they don’t completely support Israel in some fashion. It always kind of rubs me the wrong way, as if our default position is unconditional support of Israel’s every action, or unless otherwise stated we want to murder all Palestinians. Meanwhile, HAMAS has quite literally said they want to spill the blood of Jews, but anyone with a strong anti-Israel stance doesn’t seem to automatically take on that position. There’s a lot of nuance to this situation historically and currently, yet it only seems like the Jews who are trying to be a part of the conversation have to take on the nasty parts of the conflict.

Sorry if this isn’t the place for it, I’ve just had it on my mind and needed to get it out somewhere.
