Hozer beteshuva

40 y.o. formerly secular Israeli-American here. Never turned to God before except once when my oldest was born prematurely (which faded) and now, when my wife is diagnosed with a terrible illness with no cure (except she might be a symptom-less carrier like potentially her mother).

I’m starting to see the world with holiness. It’s a safe bet, to let God in, but also the less certain one. I wouldn’t say I was an atheist before, maybe an agnostic atheist – “God may or may not exist, but I don’t need Him.” I do now. But if He exists, I’m ready to listen.
