How to work on my relationship with HaShem ?

I feel as though I have these huge expectations on how it should feel to know G-d, and when I’m unable to meet those ideas I lose confidence I’m my faith.

I’ve recently understood that I can’t expect mine and G-d’s ‘relationship’ to feel the same as bond between two humans as He is so beyond our comprehension of existence.

But I would be grateful for any advice on how to improve my faith and how to ‘feel’ G-d better
