My girlfriend said it should be “Satanus” as she learned from middle school that male Latin names end with “-us”. I said it should be “Sathanas”, because I implied from the black metal bands who spell it like that that that’s how it should be spelled, but I’ve read its Hebrew origin is “ha-Satan”. Which is correct?
