I was explaining Jewish naming conventions to one of my coworkers, and going through examples, I was actually able to use each of my family members to make a different point. My Jewish name comes from my great-grandfather, my brother’s Jewish name is a direct Hebrew translation of his English one, and my dad’s Jewish name is a similar sounding one to his English name. It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out for everyone else. Obviously Israelis will probably not find this super relevant.
