My great-grandparents are German and in the 1960s, they brought a beautiful brass menorah at a flea market.
In the 80s, it was passed down to my Omi and she says that she wants to get it cleaned.
But here’s the thing: it hasn’t been cleaned in ages. If I am the one to get it, I want to clean it and treat both the menorah and the family that owned it in the past with respect.
Is there a type of cleaner I should use for it? Is there a cleaner I shouldn’t use for it? Should I clean it at all?
