How common was it throughout history for Jews to assimilate and leave their culture?

Throughout history, how common was it for Jews to conveert/assimilate/intermarry and leave their Jewish culture.

I’d imagine it might vary throughout time, but on average would it have been…. .1% of Jews? 10%?

I’m curious how common assimilation was throughout Jewish history.
