How can a matrilineally half jew raised atheist connect more with their culture and find spiritual counsel?

I was raised as an atheist but I feel that I have come to a point in my life where I am facing down total spiritual decay and vacuum. I really have no connection to the culture, unfortunately, outside a bit of charity work for a local synagogue.

I barely know more than your average non jewish American, which I feel embarrassed about and the idea of even going somewhere for shabbat is intimidating.

I would love to talk to a rabbi (preferably from a conservative synagogue) but I don’t know how. Is that possible?
