Hoping to become Jewish, no community in my area to connect with

I’ve recently become interested in following the Jewish faith, but I have no idea where to start. There is no Jewish community that I can talk to in my area, and I feel completely lost as to what to do. I’m starting to seriously read the Tanakh, but it doesn’t feel like enough of a start.
