So I think it’s VERY important for sites to be there, to educate people, etc.
We are currently in Amsterdam and walked by Anne Frank house and there was a line of people getting smiling photos taken by the door placard.
Seeing this brought me to tears; I can’t quite describe why, but it made me feel very sad.
When I think about the Shoah it is very solemn and sad but maybe non-jews don’t feel that way? I could never imagine visiting a site like this and taking a photo of myself.
Not even sure why I am posting this just having a lot of feelings about this, perhaps I am crazy.
