Help me settle a dispute with my dad

For context, my dad is Reform and I’m a BT

My dad is convinced that Orthodox Judaism doesn’t allow fathers to hug their daughters. I’ve corrected him 3 or 4 times, telling him that’s not right, shomer negiah allows fathers and daughters to hug. He says, “well, I guess in some sects of Orthodox Judaism, they don’t allow that.” He doesn’t remember where he learned this.

Help me out. Are there any sects of Orthodox Judaism where shomer negiah extends to fathers & daughters?
