Great Jewish Painters and Sculptors before WWII ?

Which Jewish Painters and Sculptors rose to fame before WII? And before 1900?

Daniel Moritz Oppenheim (1799-1882) was , perhaps, the first Jewish painter to gain real recognition even by non-Jews : his works reflect his Jewishness. By contrast, most other painters with Jewish origins (e.g. C. Pissarro) will practically never approach religious themes. Chagall will later fully express his Jewishness via painting but we are already in the period near WWII. About sculptors, I know even less….
