I apologize in advance for causing any irritations or inconveniences.
I am a gentile with a great deal of curiosity and admiration for Judaism. I was raised Catholic but became agnostic due to being rejected by the Church for being LGBT.
I want to learn more about Judaism but want to do so in an environment where I don’t develop any misconceptions about the history or faith. I would seek out a rabbi, but the nearest temple is an hour’s drive away (I live in the rural American South). Are there any sources available to me to help me learn and understand more about Judaism in a respectful manner?
