Is there a connection between the words מדבר (wilderness) and דבר (speech)? Sorry I dont know how to add the nikud. Read a bunch of conflicting things online and wanted to hear people’s thoughts here. Is it just coincidence or does midbar come from the same root? And if so, how does wilderness or desert relate to speech/words?
