Entering university as a Jew-ish person, what to do?

I’m going off to university (yay!) in two weeks. My school has a Hillel and a small Jewish population. I haven’t practiced with a group of people in a while since my family left our JCC (medical and religious reasons).

I wanted to reconnect with my religion and culture but I’m nervous that I’m not really Jewish enough (read: I don’t speak Hebrew or remember a lot of the prayers) to practice with a group again. I don’t know if these are irrational fears or not. I would hate to overstep.

Help? Should I go to Jewish events on campus or am I overstepping?
