Does my misheberach charity pledge need to be made publicly known? [Non-Jew OP, with Rabbi and Jewish friends davening on my behalf]

[Non-Jew OP] Requested a misheberach, and Rabbi said she’ll daven for me. I wasn’t sure if it was out of custom for me to request for myself and a friend. Now I’ve read from Chabad.org and know now that it’s customary to pledge charity. Do I need to tell her and others where I pledge my charity to / where I plan to donate, and does it have to be to a Jewish organization? It’s not that I wouldn’t gladly give back to the community that has been such a blessing to me; I’m just thinking of the many COVID relief funds dishing out immediate housing / other relief.
