This may be a long shot, but wondering if anyone here has any experience with this? The rabbi officiating our wedding has never officiated a wedding before. Is there anywhere he needs to register or anything he needs to fill out with the state? I’m not sure where his ordination is from, but he’s definitely a rabbi.
We live in NY State and the wedding is in NY as well but he will be coming in from another state. I’ve tried reading the laws about this online but they are quite confusing and seem geared towards more centralized religions.
