i’m just curious, because I do but i don’t know if that’s a common thing or not outside of my local community.
I still give monetarily for tzedakah when I can, but times are tough and sometimes I literally don’t have much extra. So I make sure I give blood (or plasma/platelets, whatever they need the most of and im a good match for) as frequently as possible. I kind of see it as an alternative that’s just as good as money. Because no matter how my h money the donation center/hospitals have, you can’t just go buy and stock up on blood, they rely on donations.
