Do the different styles of stripes on a tallit mean anything?

I’m trying to sew my own tallit, but I’m confused about the stripes. Do the different numbers of stripes or different thicknesses mean anything? Are there any rules about the stripes that I should know?

I’m a part of a LGBTQ reform community so everyone has different designs and colors, bright colors like pink and orange tallits with no stripes, tallits with evenly thick stripes that make a rainbow, and white tallits with blue or black different sized stripes are all equally common.
