Diving into Judaism and Jewish Culture

Hello! I’ve been lurking on this subreddit for a while now and have finally gotten the nerve up to post this question. Long story short, I come from a Jewish family on my mother’s side and practiced some of the major stuff growing up, but was never actually initiated. My dad was Christian, so they kind of just left religion at the door and let me and my sisters choose for ourselves. For context, I have two older sisters, one went down the Christian route and the other Jewish.

At 25, I’ve finally decided to look deeper into my heritage and see if it is something that feels right for me. So, I was hoping if anyone could suggests some light texts that could help me ease into this and get a better understanding of what it means to be Jewish.

I hope that no one here finds this disrespectful, that is not my intent. I truly want to learn more. Also, sorry for the long post. I’m kind of nervous about this.
