Dilemma about visiting historical churches

This summer, I will be doing some touring in Europe and I have a bit of a dilemma. The tours I am taking often go into churches that now exist only as tourist attractions. They enter mainly to admire the art and architecture present; which was made in service to Christianity with many images being apikorses and showing graven images. Do you think it’s appropriate for a Jew to enter these churches even if it’s for touristic purposes?
