I’ve noticed some people at my shul back home wear a full length Tallis sort of like a shawl (it’s been described to me as a western Sephardic custom). I’ve noticed others tuck the sides so that it looks like a vest from the front. Is there any reasoning for some of these, and is the Sephardic custom kosher because the Tzizit aren’t on all for sides?
