Just a heads up I’m a Coptic Orthodox Christian so I’m already used to things such as mandatory head covering, muttering of prayers (Though in Arabic and Coptic instead of Hebrew), no pews, and 3 hour long services. I was once told by an Orthodox Jewish friend that the Divine Liturgy and Shabbat Service are incredibly similar so I have a feeling I’ll be set but I thought I should double-check with you guys. The neat thing about Orthodoxy is that we’ve retained much of our Jewish traditions unlike Protestantism so it won’t be too foreign.
Considering to attend a Synagogue in a few months as I am starting a personal study of Judaism soon. What should I know?
