Considering our blessings…

I try and use this time to teach my girls about charity and blessings. And this got me thinking today about times I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be a blessing to an absolute stranger.

One particular moment happened early this year. I stopped at the small shop I stop at every morning. When I stopped and locked up the car, I noticed a young woman crying on the steps going up to a few shops.

I usually mind my own business, but something made me ask this lady what was wrong. She told me that she had come home to find her fiance doing the dirty with his ex-wife. She was heartbroken.

I asked her if she needed a lift anyway. She burst out in tears. I promptly apologized and tried to calm her. She said to me, she is not a religious person, nor has she ever really believed in G-d, but she had just been praying for someone to give her a lift to her father’s home.

I answered and said that He has heard your prayer and that is probably why I am here. I asked her where her father lived. It was a few miles/km down the road. I opened the passenger door for her, and took her off to her father.

Then I went on with my day like it was a normal Tuesday.

Please share your stories of how you were in the right place at the right time to bless a stranger with Kindness. I would love to read them.
