Can someone help me with some research? Orbs of the Malachim

I have been doing a lot of research on the subject of the Orbs of the Malachim and I am looking to see if anyone can help point me in the right direction. Another researcher on the topic has mentioned his research led him to stories of old world Jewish holy men communing with the orbs. He has no attribution or information on this other than a comment he made in a discussion. I wanted to see if there was any genuine depth to these claims. I also have a lot if my own experiences and research which I wanted to discuss with anyone who may be familiar with this.
