Can non-married women cover their hair?

I’m a single woman (22F) and I have never been married before. I’m trying to embrace modesty as I get older. I started to wear sheitel a few days per week and it’s been a beautiful experience. However, I founded split opinions about head covering for single Jewish women. I would like to learn more about this topic and I appreciate any kind of comment. Thank you!
