From my research it appears that there are mentions in the Torah of men (sons) wearing earrings.
It is also noted that men should not dress as women and women should not dress as men.
That said, in modern times, earrings (and piercings in general) aren’t really considered feminine.
On a similar note, my understanding has always been that tattoos are not permitted because we were already perfect (as the Creator is perfect). If so, wouldn’t piercings be prohibited for a similar reason?
