Can G-d be written in other languages?

I know that there is a taboo against fully spelling the name of G-d in Hebrew, often shortened to –ה. Is Hebrew a special case or does it apply to every language? Also I know the tetragrammmaton is forbidden from being said allowed, but is it taboo to write it in any kind of context? I am curious as to the rules.
