Brit milah

I’m a conservative convert and I’m pregnant with a son. My husband’s family is orthodox.

When my husband asked his family if they could recommend a mohel they hinted that an orthodox mohel would not perform a bris for us. Is this true?

I’m also curious as to what would happen if the 8th day falls on Shabbat. I know the bris is supposed to happen on the eighth day even if it is Shabbat. But we don’t live in an eruv so an orthodox mohel wouldn’t travel to us.

Is there any difference in practice between a conservative and orthodox mohel? Would we be able to have the bris at my in-laws house so they could attend if it fell on Shabbat? Or is there some kind of prohibition I’m not aware of?
