My boyfriend (25/m) and I (21/f) just broke up because I’m not Jewish. I told him I would convert, but he had anxieties about me resenting him down the line for making me convert and give him things I grew up with. I just want some insight from Jewish people into the fact that it wasn’t because he didn’t love me enough – and that I should not convert just because I love someone. I would greatly appreciate some respectful insight. I thought this man was the love of my life. Was this relationship doomed? Even though we got along so well? We were together for a year.
