Book recommendations on Jewish prayer and liturgy?

I’m struggling a bit in my Intro to Judaism classes in the prayer sections.

We are tasked with reading about the prayers (currently on the Amidah) and whilst I am usually pretty good at self-directed study I feel really frickin stupid at the moment.

Is there a good book (or books) out there that goes through them? What they are, what they mean, when are they used etc. I’d rather get stuck into a book than stare at a computer screen.

(I’m Reform if that makes a difference)
