Bittul Bittul Bittul!

In Chasidut we learn all the greats of our tradition, Moshe, the Avot, etc nullified themselves completely inorder to be a vessel for G-dliness.

If your cup is full, so to speak, you cannot receive or channel G’ds essence.

This of course begs the question, why would Hashem need to create separate beings and personalities if we all meant to bittul ourselves completely? Isn’t that idea limiting Him, or limiting His creation (being us) that only when we are completely nullified that we can serve Him properly?

It is taught also that the ´highest’ or most admirable analogy of our relationship to Hashem is one of a slave to a master.
