Best way to spot clean a tallit

L’shanah tovah tikateivu v’teichateimu, I hope everyone’s year is off to a good start and you had a meaningful Rosh Hashanah.

I just noticed a bit of dirt on my tallit and wanted to know the best way to clean it. I asked the ritual director at my shul, he said he dry cleans his once or twice a year. I don’t need to clean the entire tallit, it’s really just a small mark I want to spot clean. Does Woolite work? I was thinking some warm water and Woolite would work to hand wash in my sink. It is a wool tallit. Thanks in advance for any advice!
