Been an atheist, and now debating it.

I was born to a jewish family, jewish from all sides, but I found atheism as a way with actual scientific proof to back it, when judaism didn’t. Anyways, for a month – 3 months now, I have been debating me being an atheist, and I wanted to go back to judaism.

Also a second question: Why do we follow other rules of the Torah, that wasn’t decided by god, but by Rabbis? Genuanly curious about this one. I know the ten commandments were received from god, but all the other rules weren’t made by him.
