Title says it all. I was raised Protestant here in the American South and used to attend church weekly, but I haven’t exactly kept the faith. I’m interested in seeing what services are like at other (non-Protestant) places around town. This week, I decided to visit a local Reform synagogue. (as a matter of fact, the only synagogue of any kind for many miles)
Specifically, I’d like to know how to not be disrepectful and not make a fool of myself. I’m not looking to convert, just to learn. Do I need to dress in a certain way? Do I need to bring anything? Is it even okay for me to just drop in like this in the first place?
