Are your Rabbis still writing scriptures or recording Jewish history in a special way?

I’m not Jewish obv, Here’s my understanding, correct me if it’s wrong; you have the Hebrew Bible (as I’ve heard it called), and this is the most important set of writings, then you have the Talmud, which is more like a huge set of studies and commentaries, but not as important as the Hebrew Bible.

But is there anything since and going into modern times that is being written in this kind of authoritative way? I understand there would be many many books and teachings from specific Rabbis and schools of thought, but that seems to be different from the Bible and the Talmud. Like for example, the Holocaust and then the formation of the state of Israel seem like two immensely important things for Jewish people even on the scale of biblical events, has it been recorded in a special way?
