Are there any Jewish writers who are similar to William S. Burroughs?

I’m thinking Kafka might be in the same direction?

Reason for my question is that, lately I’ve been wanting to check out William S. Burroughs, but was turned off when I read how obscene his work is (at least, the book I was considering was).

This sort of pricked my conscience, so I didn’t buy it, but it did make me wonder if there might be any respectable Jewish authors who undertake a similar theme/genre, but without being transgressive?
