Specifically, I’m looking at a recipe that calls for smoked oysters to be blended with a few other ingredients and then mixed with ground beef. I assume the oysters are meant to impart a particular flavor and texture, though having never tried oysters I’m not sure what that flavor and texture would even be. I googled and found a couple of vegan substitutes, but I wanted to check with the worthy Elders of Chelm here assembled and see if anyone knew of a Kosher vegan/non-vegan alternative.
Anyone know a Kosher substitute for Oysters?
