Anyone have PTSD or anxiety from early Holocaust education and emphasis?

I grew up orthodox and the orthodox Jewish schools I went to always stressed the Holocaust. We’d see graphic images and stories from a young age. I’ve heard things like “it could happen here in America, don’t get too comfortable” and “even if you’re secular that doesn’t matter, the nazis didn’t care.”

And every Tisha baav the custom was to watch Holocaust documentaries or visit the Holocaust museum.

I’ve gotten to the point now as an adult where unexpected discussion or images of graphic details of the Holocaust sometimes cause me to have an anxiety attack. This has gotten worse whenever there is a flare up of antisemetism in the news.

For example, I was going a research training at work and they started talking about nazi experiments and got a an anxiety attack.

I’m wondering if other Jews ever experienced anything similar?
