For the past few months I’ve fallen asleep mid-shema and it’s been bothering me. Not only do I think it’s disrespectful to God but I also enjoy taking some time to say personal prayers after.
Do most people say it laying down as well? I have always felt that sitting up and saying it felt a little Christian, even if I’m not kneeling by my bedside. Thoughts?
